Search for new, useful resources.

 

 

 

  1. launch a search engine such as google.com, AltaVista.com, Northern Lights.com, dogpile.com or others.
  2. Type in search keywords (for example Pennsylvania+music+1812-1850 ) See Jim Gate's Internet search tips if necessary.
  3. Review the search results and identify resources which may be of use to you.
  4. Collect and save any resources you may want to have on CD-ROM at the end of the week. Save them in the folder to be burned on CD-Rom for you to have to take home with you. This includes sound files, animations, movies, graphics and anything else as long as the total space is 700 megabytes or less. Click here to read the Institute requirements and scoring procedures

Submit your findings/resources.

  1. Go to http://techresource.50megs.com. Find the response form. Type the useful resource(s) title(s) into the search engine and see if the resource is already listed.
  2. If it is not, go to the response form, input the information required and hit the submit button.

Request that the lead log your achievement into the record.

Benchmark achievement: This activity is successful and complete when your resource contribution transfers.
